New Head of Skegness Commercial Law Department
County law firm Sills & Betteridge have recently announced plans for their Skegness commercial law department, following their first year post merger with Frearsons Solicitors.
The plans coincide with the retirement of former Frearsons Managing Partner Colin Seymour.
Senior Partner Andrew Payne “We are delighted to say that Wendy Spalding-Siracusa will now head up the commercial team in Skegness. Whilst Wendy has been based primarily at the firm’s Lincoln office since she joined us, she has become very familiar with the Skegness area, having worked with many local residential and commercial investors, business owners, developers and farmers. I believe this makes her the obvious choice to take over from Colin, and Peter Downing, who sadly died prior to our merger.”
Wendy trained as a commercial lawyer at Clifford Chance in the early 1990s and worked in the City of London and for some large regional law firms, before moving to Lincolnshire in 2004. She has a fellowship in agricultural law and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, formerly on the National Council, Chairman of the Lincolnshire branch, and a director of a farming co-operative.
Wendy Spalding-Siracusa “I am really looking forward to working on commercial and agricultural transactions for our clients in Skegness and the surrounding areas, as well as clients from Lincoln and London. We have a fantastic opportunity to develop the range of work we can now handle from our Skegness office. As well as strengthening our commercial team in Skegness itself over the next few months, we can draw upon the breadth of expertise Sills and Betteridge has in the commercial team as whole, which is one of the largest in the region.
