The role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Family Solicitor (4 years + PQE) to join our well-respected Family Department at our Nottingham branch. The successful person will manage the Nottingham branch on a day to day basis, as well as their own caseload specializing in all aspects of care work.

This position is suited to a confident professional with first class interpersonal and motivational skills and the passion to help drive the firm forwards. In return we are offering a highly competitive remuneration package and career progression prospects.

Duties

The role will include:

  • taking on existing matters or running existing matters;
  • managing and progressing own caseload in an efficient and effective manner;
  • dealing with enquiries from potential clients, colleagues and existing clients promptly;
  • assisting with the development of the department in the designated area;
  • ensuring that SRA regulations regarding competency are consistently kept up to date.

The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our well-respected Commercial Property Department based in Lincoln, to cover maternity.

We are looking for people who are ideally educated to degree level and it is preferred that applicants have practical experience of working within Commercial Property or Conveyancing but this is not essential. We are looking for a hardworking individual who is confident, driven, bright and enthusiastic with strong communication skills.

Duties

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Assisting the fee earner with the day to day running of files;
  • Dealing with telephone enquires;
  • Calling and writing to clients;
  • Liaising with external parties e.g. solicitors, financial institutions, estate agents;
  • Obtaining official copy documents and searches from Land Registry using their online portal;
  • Assisting with the preparation of transactional documents and amending documents including track changes;
  • Preparing and submitting Land Transaction Returns, applications to Companies House to register charges and Land- Registry applications;
  • Preparing schedules of deeds to send to clients and otherwise dealing with storage and retrieval of title deeds;
  • Requesting property and company searches;
  • Preparing completion statements; and
  • Providing general assistance to the fee earner when necessary.
