The Recruitment Process

Each year Sills & Betteridge recruits two trainee solicitors. We are looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals to join the team.

We normally invite applicants to a formal interview with the Training Partner and the HR Manager. Successful candidates will then be invited to a four day placement during the Easter Break.

During the placement applicants will spend half a day in different departments working on case studies over four days. This is on an individual basis. On the last day applicants will be invited to meet some of our partners at a lunch meeting. Following the lunch applicants will be able to feedback their experiences and have a very formal discussion with the HR Manager and Training Partner about the placement.

Applicants will then hear back from us following the placement week as to whether or not their application has been successful.
