A huge congratulations to Jade Lawson and Tanesha Begum who are delighted to announce that the CILEx Lincolnshire branch, that they are both Committee members of has been shortlisted in the UK final five CILEx branches of the year, out of over thirty!

Jade Lawson and Tanesha BegumJade and Tanesha are on the Committee together with seven people from other firms across Lincolnshire including Ringrose Law, Wilkin Chapman and Bridge Sanderson Munro. Their hard work and dedication since coming together to try to launch the Branch at the end of last year has been recognised by CILEx.

Local branches aim to provide support to its members and to represent and raise the profile of CILEx in the local area. Jade and Tanesha got involved in the Committee because they are both in the process of studying with CILEx. Joining a local branch of CILEx offers numerous ways of finding additional support and making contacts that can be of benefit to them for the rest of their career. It is also a great way to keep up-to-date about the latest CPD training and social events.

The Committee have regular meetings to organise future events and are always looking to expand their branch by encouraging new members to join.  The branch not only accepts CILEX members but also people who are not studying with CILEx, so as to broaden people’s knowledge of what CILEx entails.

Jade said: “To be shortlisted feels like a huge achievement to us. Tanesha and I do dedicate a lot of our personal time outside of working hours to attend committee meetings and carry out relevant research for our future events. The recognition of this is great motivation to continue putting in all of the effort and hard work, knowing that it pays off.”
