Following completion of their training contracts with the firm, newly qualified solicitors Kia Butterfield and Danielle Hardy have accepted jobs at the Skegness branch of Sills & Betteridge LLP.
The 2019 Legal 500 Leading Firm which has offices in Lincolnshire and across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, is delighted to retain the talent as part of a period of strategically planned growth for the branch.
Skegness Grammar School student Kia returned to the town upon completion of her LLB (Hons) Law Degree, Legal Practice Course and Masters Degree in Law at the University of Law in Leeds, formerly the College of Law. She will take a job in Emma Downing’s Residential Property department. Lincolnshire born Danielle, with a Law and Business Degree from the University of Lincoln and Legal Practice Course qualification from Nottingham Law School will take a job with James Proctor in the Wills, Trusts & Probate team.
Kia accepted the post because of the fast paced, process driven nature of conveyancing work and the opportunity to be part of a firm which values its people, both employees and clients. “There is substantial investment taking place in the town including an increase in buy to let activity, so it is an exciting time to work in property. Clients come back to us again and again as they build up their property portfolios, enabling us to get to know our clients and build solid relationships”.
Danielle said “It has always been important to me to work for a firm that encourages progression. I like working in Skegness for the supportive team spirit and friendly atmosphere, and being part of a large firm means there are opportunities to fulfil my ambitions. I feel I have the best of both worlds”.
Skegness Branch Manager and Partner James Proctor welcomes the new appointments “I am delighted and proud that both Kia and Danielle have chosen to stay with us following qualification. To be able to attract and retain two more outstanding young lawyers is testament to the hard work that has been put in to the development and progression of the branch over the last few years. Kia and Danielle are now valuable members of the largest Conveyancing and Wills, Trusts and Probate teams in the town. I look forward to working with them both and have every confidence in their future success”.
