Sills & Betteridge Expands Dispute Resolution Team

Chartered Legal Executive Sam Sleight has joined Sills & Betteridge, primarily to help develop the firm’s contentious probate service.

Sam brings significant expertise in contentious probate, advising clients on disputes concerning estates and wills following a person’s death. Highly regarded in this specialist area of law, Sam is an Associate Member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), reflecting his experience and commitment to this field of practice.

In addition to contentious probate work, Sam will also deal with other commercial litigation matters including property disputes.

Sam will be based at the firm’s Lincoln and Skegness offices from where he will assist clients across the wider East Midlands and Yorkshire regions.

The move is an exciting one for Sam. "I am very pleased to be joining Sills & Betteridge and to become part of such a knowledgeable and supportive team. The firm’s approach to client care and its depth of expertise in dispute resolution makes this an excellent opportunity for me.”

Karen Bower-Brown, Senior Partner at Sills & Betteridge and Head of Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution, said “We are delighted to welcome someone with such dedication to Contentious Probate. These matters can be complex and emotionally challenging for clients, but Sam’s calm and positive approach, combined with his ability to quickly identify key issues and explore solutions, makes him an excellent fit for both this area of practice and our team.”
