Katherine Marshall is a Partner specialising in will, trust and estate disputes, providing clear and strategic advice to clients involved in complex and sensitive cases. She advises executors, trustees and beneficiaries across a range of contentious probate claims, including Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims, validity disputes, executor and beneficiary disputes, executor removal claims, trust disputes and proprietary estoppel claims.
Katherine navigates high-value and technically demanding cases with pragmatism and commercial awareness. Her clear and empathetic communication style ensures clients feel confident, well-informed and supported throughout their claim.
With 20 years of general litigation experience, Katherine also advises on a wide range of commercial litigation disputes, including contract, boundary and property disputes with a particular emphasis on professional negligence claims against a range of professionals. This places her in a strong position to advise on negligence issues arising from a number of areas including with reference to will preparation and disputed estates.
From a farming background, Katherine brings valuable insight to disputes involving agricultural estates.
She is a full member of ACTAPS (The Association of Contentious Trusts & Probate Specialists) and a trustee of a local education trust, reflecting her commitment to local community.
