Being faced with having to choose a personal injury lawyer is a difficult process, compounded by the fact that you have suffered an accident and are suffering from your injuries. It is important that you find someone who is compassionate and understanding, but presents you with honest advice, based on their experience and understanding of the law.
It is easy for the initial process to be daunting with lots of new information, managing your symptoms and navigating litigation generally. As a claims team, we have a wealth of experience between us in working with a range of individuals, for a range of injuries and circumstances, to help guide them through the process and where necessary, access rehabilitation to aid their recovery.
I have prepared a list of our top tips to consider when choosing the right personal injury lawyer:
- Check review websites such as Review Solicitors – reading online reviews is a very effective way of find out about other clients' experiences.
- Ask your friends or family – it may be the case that your friends or family have gone through a personal injury claim before.
- Read website profiles of personal injury lawyers in your area to find out about their specialisms, awards and accreditations.
- We would also recommend searching online for local personal injury solicitors so you can compare and contrast their services.
If you have had an accident and would like to explore whether you have a claim for compensation, please visit our Claims Team profiles and if you would like to obtain a free claim assessment, please call 0800 542 4245, email us on info@sillslegal.co.uk or call in to one of our offices. We have offices across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the East Midlands from where we represent clients from all over the UK.
It is important to note that, save for a few limited exceptions, personal injury claims are subject to a three year limitation period from the date of the accident in which you need to make a claim. If this three year time limit passes before a claim is made, your entitlement to pursue it is sadly lost.
