The government has announced that it is investing £1m in family mediation. Under the scheme, the Ministry of Justice will provide contributions of up to £500 per family, to resolve issues relating to children following parental separation. The fund will reduce the costs of mediation for at least 2000 families.

The Coronavirus Act 2020 came into force on 26 March 2020 and sought to protect tenants from eviction by extending the notice periods under the Housing Act 1988.
