ROLE: Costs Lawyer / Costs Draftsman (Part-Time)

LOCATION: All Locations (Hybrid Working) 

SALARY: Competitive and based on level and experience

HOURS: Flexible working 29 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Costs Lawyer or Costs Draftsman to join our team. This part-time position offers flexibility in location and working arrangements, making it ideal for those seeking a balance between professional and personal commitments.

You will play a key role in managing costs-related matters within clinical negligence and personal injury cases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting bills of costs and budgets
  • Providing technical advice and supervision
  • Reviewing files to ensure accurate time recording
  • Assisting with billing and administrative tasks
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other professionals to ensure effective cost management

We are looking for someone who brings: 

  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and procedural rules
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and IT skills
